In the quiet community of Gothenburg, Nebraska, a tragedy unfolded that left residents in shock. Jill McCandless, a 53-year-old Caucasian female and a dedicated police officer, died on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in what authorities have described as an apparent murder-suicide.
