On March 23, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Douglas, Nebraska, resulting in the deaths of Annette L. Grimes, age 51, and her husband Randal L. Grimes, age 56. The couple was found deceased in their home at 100 Otoe Street, with apparent gunshot wounds.
