On May 30, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Bellevue, Nebraska, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Madyson Dennis from Omaha. The Bellevue Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 6900 block of South 27th Street at approximately 10:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Madyson Dennis suffering from a gunshot wound. the homicide. Nicholas Holliday, a 25-year-old man from Council Bluffs, was apprehended without incident in the area of 27th and X Street in Omaha. Holliday was subsequently booked into the Sarpy County Jail on charges of manslaughter, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and tampering with physical evidence.
