On a cold Saturday night in Bellevue, Nebraska, on January 22, 2022, the life of Deyvonndra L. Jones, a 40-year-old Black / African American woman, was tragically cut short. Inside her home near 22nd and Jefferson Street, she suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police were dispatched to the residence after receiving a call from a man who identified himself as her husband and stated that he had shot his wife.
