On December 28, 2011, Aaron Lamarr Bankhead, Sr., a 28-year-old Black/African American male, died in Indianapolis, Indiana. Known affectionately to his friends and family as "Bankhead," he was a resident of the city who had strong ties to the Haughville community. He attended South Wayne Junior High School and later Ben Davis High School. His death left behind a grieving family, including his mother, Margarita, and his two young sons, Aaron Jr. and Khalil.
