In a tragic and violent intrusion on the morning of August 30, 2022, 19-year-old Alon Reed, a Black/African American male, was fatally shot inside his own home in Omaha, Nebraska. The incident unfolded when two individuals forcibly entered the residence. One of them held Reed's mother at gunpoint while demanding to know her son's whereabouts. Shortly after, Reed was shot multiple times, primarily in his head and face, and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
