On Thanksgiving night, November 23, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Omaha, Nebraska, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Kendrick McDonald. The Omaha Police Department responded to a call about a shooting outside a residence in the 1100 block of North 31st Avenue at approximately 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders found Kendrick suffering from a single gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, the young boy succumbed to his injuries at Nebraska Medicine.
