Nicholas Riley, 30, a Black man, was found shot to death just after midday on December 20, 2014, inside a vehicle parked at the Woodland Apartments along 67 Lowery Drive in Wilmington, Delaware. Officers had been called about a suspicious car occupied by two men; when they arrived, Riley was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
A second male who had been in the same vehicle was located nearby and rushed to Christiana Hospital in critical condition; he ultimately survived. T
