On February 25, 2018, Wilmington police responded to a shooting incident at a residence located in the 2300 block of North Market Street. Inside the home, officers discovered the lifeless body of Richard Young, a 38-year-old African American male. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
