Nakyshea Monet Richardson, known as Nakysha “Keisha,” 19, a Black woman, was struck by gunfire just after midnight on July 6, 2020, on Wilmington’s East Side. Police were called to the 800 block of North Pine Street at about 12:15 a.m., where officers found her gravely wounded. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, but despite emergency treatment, she died from her injuries.
