Death by Force

Michael Parker, a 46-year-old Black male from Wilmington, Delaware, was found shot multiple times on December 21, 2020, in the 200 block of North DuPont Street in the city’s Hilltop neighborhood. Officers responding to reports of gunfire discovered him gravely wounded; despite being rushed for treatment, he did not survive. The killing drew early appeals from Wilmington police for information from neighbors and passersby who might have seen or heard anything that afternoon.
