In the early morning hours of January 23, 2021, the life of 28-year-old Kwantae Hovington, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Seaford, Delaware. At approximately 6:40 a.m., Delaware State Police troopers were dispatched to a residence on Park Circle in the Mobile Gardens Community following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Hovington suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
