Sonya Sheppard, 57, was at home on West Springside Drive near Milton, Delaware, late on November 20, 2023, when gunfire shattered the quiet in her neighborhood. Troopers were dispatched just after 11 p.m. and found her inside with a gunshot wound to the upper body; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
