On July 2, 2016, in Wilmington, Delaware, 55-year-old Nicole Shaw was fatally shot by her ex-husband, Walter Shaw, 53, in a tragic murder-suicide. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. at Nicole's residence on the 200 block of Chestnut Avenue in the Gordon Heights neighborhood. According to police reports, Walter arrived at Nicole's home, leading to a confrontation inside.
