In the small town of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, a tragic and violent event unfolded on the night of February 27, 2025, leading to the death of 40-year-old Dennis Perry. The incident, which took place at an apartment on Main Street, was determined by Kentucky State Police to be a double murder-suicide.
Authorities responded to a call around 11:45 p.m. and discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds.
The investigation revealed that 30-year-old Spencer Baldwin had fatally shot Dennis Perry and 30-year-old Heather Baldwin before taking his own life. Spencer Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dennis Perry was initially transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he later succumbed to his wounds. The investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting remains ongoing by the Kentucky State Police. The bodies of all three individuals were sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for autopsies. Since the suspect, Spencer Baldwin, died at the scene, no arrests were made in connection with the deaths.
