On April 27, 2010, in Gray, Maine, 44-year-old Daniel McLatchie fatally shot his 22-year-old son, Benjamin, before taking his own life. The incident occurred in the driveway of their home on Yarmouth Road. Prior to the shootings, Daniel called 911 to request an officer's presence at their residence. Upon arrival, authorities discovered both men deceased with a shotgun nearby.
