On June 25, 2013, in Freeport, Maine, 32-year-old Nicholas "Nick" Dorrington was found deceased alongside his father, 66-year-old John Dorrington, in an apparent murder-suicide. Authorities reported that John Dorrington fatally shot his son before turning the gun on himself. The tragic discovery was made by Joyce Dorrington, wife and mother to the deceased, after one of the men failed to appear at work that morning.
