On July 5, 2017, in Madison, Maine, 57-year-old Michael R. "The Wizard" Spaulding was tragically shot and killed by his neighbor, 51-year-old Carroll Tuttle Jr. This incident was part of a violent spree in which Tuttle also fatally shot his partner, 52-year-old Lori Hayden, and their 25-year-old son, Dustin Tuttle, before being killed by police.
