On October 5, 2022, in Orrington, Maine, 89-year-old Lois Swanson and her husband, Russell Swanson, were found deceased in their home on Swetts Pond Road. A family member discovered their bodies around 9 a.m. and promptly notified authorities. The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, with assistance from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit and the Evidence Response Team, to investigate the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
