In the quiet town of Orrington, Maine, a somber discovery was made on the morning of October 5, 2022. Lois Swanson, an 89-year-old female, was found deceased in her home on Swetts Pond Road. A family member made the heartbreaking discovery and immediately alerted the authorities.

Upon their arrival, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office found not only Lois, but also her husband, Russell Swanson, also 89, deceased within the residence. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was called in ...
