On October 25, 2023, 53-year-old Tricia C. Asselin was among the victims of a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine. The tragedy occurred at Just-In-Time Recreation, a local bowling alley where Asselin, a part-time employee, was present on her day off to enjoy an evening of bowling. When the gunman began firing, Asselin attempted to call 911 to alert authorities but was fatally shot during her effort to seek help.
