On April 2, 2024, in Bangor, Maine, 24-year-old Daniel E. Ford-Coates was fatally shot in his Highland Avenue residence. Responding to a reported altercation around 4:20 a.m., police found Ford-Coates with a gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later ruled his death a homicide.
