In the summer of 2015, on the vast expanse of the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana, an act of kindness was met with brutal violence, leaving a family shattered and a community in mourning. Jason Neil Shane Jr., a 50-year-old Native American man from Pryor, was a descendant of Chief Pretty Eagle and a respected member of the Greasy Mouth Clan.
