On December 17, 2019, a triple homicide occurred at the Emerald City Casino in Great Falls, Montana. Among the victims was 60-year-old Wendy Joanne Carlson. The suspect, 41-year-old Ricky Lee Gardipee, was later shot and killed by U.S. Marshals.
