The death of 43-year-old Ronie Parrott, whose remains were discovered in the Boise foothills on February 13, 2016, became a homicide investigation that gripped the community for months.

Parrott had been reported missing in September 2015 after last being seen at a Boise convenience store in late August. A woman walking her dogs found her remains in a remote area off Sunset Peak Road, months after her disappearance.
