On June 19, 2005, Darren Carter was found shot to death at approximately 3:04 AM in the rear of the 1200 block of Linden Place, NE, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. This incident was part of a series of unsolved homicides in Washington, D.C., that year. Darren Carter was pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation was conducted by the Violent Crimes Branch of the MPD.
