In the quiet retirement community of SilverCrest Estates in Nampa, Idaho, a tragedy unfolded on the morning of August 29, 2017, ending the life of 82-year-old Eunice Price, a Caucasian female. The day was shattered by the sound of gunshots emanating from the home she shared with her 83-year-old husband, Harry Price, on Flamingo Avenue. Nampa police were dispatched to the residence at 9:04 a.m.
after receiving a report of the gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside the house. Fearing the worst, they made entry and discovered a grim scene. Harry Price was found deceased from a gunshot wound. Eunice, critically injured but still alive, was rushed to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries later that day. The Canyon County coroner's office and the Nampa Police Department immediately began an investigation into the deaths, which they publicly stated was being treated as a homicide-suicide.
