In a tragic turn of events in Washington, D.C., a five-week-old infant boy, Robert Smith Jr., lost his life in August 2015. The devastating incident unfolded inside a home in the Petworth neighborhood, where the young child was found unconscious and unresponsive. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. An autopsy later revealed the heartbreaking cause of his death: multiple blunt force injuries, leading the manner of death to be ruled a homicide.
