In the quiet, early morning hours of January 15, 2024, a domestic dispute in a residence on North Maple Grove Lane in Bannock County, Idaho, ended in the tragic death of 49-year-old Zacary M. Shumway, a White/Caucasian male from Pocatello. Deputies from the Bannock County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 1:17 a.m. and discovered Shumway deceased from a gunshot wound. The incident prompted an immediate homicide investigation by local authorities.
