On October 15, 2021, in Pocatello, Idaho, 41-year-old Jennifer Leigh and 21-year-old Timothy Hunt were fatally shot in a residence on Philbin Road. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., prompting a 911 call from a neighbor who reported hearing six gunshots and witnessing Jesse Leigh, Jennifer's estranged husband, leaving the scene. First responders found Jennifer with a gunshot wound to the head and Hunt with gunshot wounds to his back and arm; both were pronounced dead at the scene.
