In the quiet town of Alstead, New Hampshire, the evening of July 7, 2022, was shattered by a 911 call reporting a shooting on Bonnie Brae Drive. Responding New Hampshire State Police officers arrived at the residence to a grim discovery. Inside, they found the bodies of 42-year-old Alicia Lawlor, a Caucasian female, and her 56-year-old husband, Steven Lawlor.
Subsequent autopsies confirmed the tragic nature of the events that had unfolded.
The New Hampshire Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Mitchell Weinberg, determined that Alicia Lawlor's death was a homicide resulting from a single gunshot wound. Steven Lawlor also died from a single gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a suicide. The investigation concluded that Steven Lawlor had shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.
Born on August 5, 1979, in Marlow, New Hampshire, Alicia was a mother to two daughters, Katelyn and Kristi, who were described as her everything. She was remembered as a hardworking and determined individual who enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. A proud member of the Marlow Odd Fellows Lodge #69, she was also a passionate supporter of and volunteer for Feeding Tiny Tummies. Friends and family recalled her as a loving person with a strong will who would offer help to anyone in need.
