In the summer of 2017, the quiet town of Haverhill, New Hampshire, was unsettled by a tragedy that unfolded within a home on Pine Park Road. Chrystal Lewis, a 44-year-old Caucasian woman, was found deceased in her residence on the morning of August 15, 2017. The discovery sent ripples of concern through the community as authorities began their investigation into the untimely deaths of Lewis and a man also found at the scene.
As investigators pieced together the events, it was determined
that Lewis had died from a single gunshot wound to the head. The manner of her death was officially ruled a homicide. The man found with her was identified as 45-year-old Robert Taylor. The investigation revealed that Lewis and Taylor had been in a dating relationship for several years, but Lewis had ended the relationship the previous month.
The subsequent investigation by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and the New Hampshire State Police concluded that Taylor was the sole suspect in Lewis's death. After fatally shooting Lewis, Taylor then turned the gun on himself, taking his own life. The case was ultimately classified as a murder-suicide, and with the death of the perpetrator, the investigation was closed. No further arrests were made in connection with this tragic event.
