A woman is found dead in a wooded area near Hume Brook
Arlene Clevesy, a 48-year-old woman from Haverhill, Massachusetts, was found murdered on June 4, 1972, near Hume Brook in Newton, New Hampshire. Her body was discovered face down in the water, and the cause of death was ruled as traumatic asphyxia combined with drowning. Clevesy had last been seen the night before at a local bar, where she stayed out later than her husband, Harold Clevesy, who became concerned when she didn't return home the next morning.
