Alex Jackson, a 34-year-old from Windham, Maine, was reported missing in May 2023. After an extensive search, his remains were discovered in Stark, New Hampshire, on April 19, 2024.

Joseph Chute, a 30-year-old from Leeds, Maine, was arrested and charged with Jackson's murder in March 2024. Chute's lawyer maintains his client's innocence, even after the discovery of Jackson's body.
