A man is shot in the face and dies
On February 26, 1993, Diethelm Baumann, a 30-year-old German national, was fatally shot in the face outside the Lafayette Club on Canal Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Despite the presence of several people at the scene and a busy club nearby, no one was able to definitively identify the shooter. According to police, Baumann's female companion described the suspect as a white male with dark hair and a mustache, who was last seen driving away in a pickup truck covered in snow.
