Thea Swartz, a 54-year-old woman from Orleans, Vermont, was tragically shot and killed in her home on May 15, 2018. Her husband, Randall Swartz, was arrested at the scene and charged with her murder.

Police responded to a 911 call from Thea Swartz reporting that her husband was pointing a gun at her. Upon arrival, they found Thea deceased and Randall with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment before being taken into custody.
