Murdered

Anthony Smith, a 26-year-old from Vergennes, Vermont, was fatally shot on November 12, 2023, at a residence in Burlington. Police responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment on Decatur Street and found Smith and another man, Khalif Jones (27), both with gunshot wounds to the head. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, while Jones later died at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
