Benzell Hampton, a 23-year-old from Burlington, Vermont, was shot and killed on April 16, 2019. The incident occurred in Burlington's Old North End and stemmed from a drug-related dispute.

Hampton had been involved in cocaine distribution with an individual named Lesine Woodson. A group of individuals, including James Felix and Johnny Ford, attacked Hampton during a drug deal. A gun battle ensued, and Hampton was fatally shot.
