A man is found beaten to death on Burlington's Waterfront On May 30, 1989, the body of 35-year-old Keith Destromp was found in the abandoned "Pease Grain" building on Burlington’s waterfront. Destromp, who was known to frequent the area, had been killed by blunt trauma. His murder was classified as a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner. At the time of his death, Burlington’s waterfront was known to be an area frequented by homeless individuals, and Destromp was often seen there.
