On January 25, 2020, 28-year-old Vincent Sebastian was fatally shot at a residence on Marriott Avenue in Westerly, Rhode Island. The assailant, Louis Seignious Jr., 33, of Norwich, Connecticut, had discovered earlier that day that Sebastian was romantically involved with a woman Seignious had previously dated and with whom he shared a child.
