In the early hours of a Saturday morning, on August 8, 2020, the life of 35-year-old Delron Fields, a Black male from Providence, Rhode Island, was tragically cut short. Fields was sitting alone in his car in the parking lot of a Dunkin' Donuts located at 315 Broad Street when a lone assailant approached and unleashed a barrage of gunfire. The brazen attack left Fields with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
