Jamal Vasquez, a 24-year-old man from Cranston, Rhode Island, was fatally shot on the evening of September 8, 2020, in what authorities later confirmed as a homicide. Police responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the vicinity of Ivy Street, a residential area in Cranston, around 9:45 p.m. When they arrived, they found Vasquez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
