On September 4, 2022, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, 37-year-old Olvin Yonairo Montoya-Ramirez was fatally shot in the head. The incident occurred in a detached garage at a residence on County Road 161, approximately 11 miles south of Pine Bluffs. Montoya-Ramirez had traveled from Greeley, Colorado, with his son to pick up his roommate, 31-year-old Yigner Rodrigo Turcios-Romero.
