Connie M. Sowells III, aged 27, tragically lost his life on October 1, 2014, in Oakland, California. The incident occurred outside the Bella Ultra Lounge, a downtown nightclub located at 11th and Clay streets. According to reports, the altercation began as a robbery attempt. Billy Shaffer Jr., aged 30, was identified as the suspect who shot and killed Sowells during the robbery.
