On December 30, 2015, 39-year-old John Randall Veach, a resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, was fatally shot by Rawlins Police Department officers in Rawlins, Wyoming. Veach was reportedly selling marijuana in the parking lot of a Kum & Go gas station when officers Jared Frakes and Joe Balestrieri responded to the scene.
