In the spring of 2017, the life of Nicholas Thomas Laqua, a 23-year-old White male from Bismarck, North Dakota, was tragically cut short. On April 15, 2017, Nicholas died from what was reported as the accidental misfire of a handgun. At the time of his death, he was a gifted salesman for a local home improvement company.
