On November 17, 2021, a tragic incident occurred at Composite America, a plastics manufacturing facility in Fargo, North Dakota. Richard Pittman, 43, and his partner, 32-year-old April Carbone, were fatally shot by their coworker, 35-year-old Anthony Reese Jr. Carbone was eight months pregnant at the time, and their unborn daughter, Layla, also died as a result of the shooting.
