In the early evening of June 24, 2024, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Fargo, North Dakota apartment complex, leaving a young Black man, 24-year-old Zion Brooks, dead from a gunshot wound to the face. The fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of the Arbors apartment complex, located in the 2200 block of 6th Avenue South.
