Murdered

In early April 2024, 36-year-old Mark McMillan from Minot, North Dakota, was reported missing after losing contact with his family around April 3. Authorities initiated a search, considering the possibility of foul play. On July 2, during a search of a commercial building in Minot, police discovered McMillan's body concealed in the basement, wrapped in a plastic air mattress. An autopsy revealed that he had died from two gunshot wounds to the torso, including a fatal shot to the heart.
