On the night of August 25, 1991, in Waipahu, Honolulu, 51-year-old Aradina Dela Cruz and her husband, Santiago Dela Cruz, were fatally shot in their home by their estranged son-in-law, Orlando Ganal Sr. Ganal forcibly entered the residence and opened fire, killing both Aradina and Santiago. He also shot and wounded his estranged wife, Mabel, and their son, Orlando Jr.
