Death by Force

On July 13, 2014, 66-year-old Tu'iono Siosiua 'Josh' Liava'a was fatally shot in Kahaluu, Hawaii. Liava'a, a former New Zealand police detective sergeant and rugby league player, was visiting friends and family in Hawaii at the time. The incident occurred inside a residence on Waihee Road, where Liava'a sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Queen's Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries later that day.
